When I stopped, it wasnt whiplash; rather, the bike tipped, and I skinned my face in the fall. Im back on the bike now, cruising at a tolerable, moderate speed. Last years Tour-de-France  pace was not sustainable. But neither is absolute zero. Of course  I never intended to maintain either speed  in perpetuity, but its nice to know my limits, whichve expanded considerably  over the past twelve months.
